I guess this would just be a good place to do this. I have stuff that I want to write about and make regular posts. If you don’t know of me, my name is Erik. I live in Northwest Arkansas in the middle of nowhere. I made this project Spiralmountain in January. I’m 18 years old and I don’t receive payment for anything I do. Honestly, I do music because I love it and it makes me sane as a person.

I’ve made an EP, called Oceans which was my first ever release but it’s in hoorrrrible quality. I’ve also made a full length called Blacksand which is really symbolic to me, it’s basically a musical autobiography of my life after my father died from leukemia. I’ve taken a break from music for a while because writing in Tremors actually drained me and I just couldn’t do it anymore. However, I left and I focus on Spiralmountain full time.

I’m not sure where my directions are to take me now. I’ve kinda been straying away from djent because, really it all sounds the same. I just want to create something that I would enjoy listening to and that other people would too. 

As of right now, the only thing I would say I’ve worked on is a song that I’m planning on having vocals put on it. I’m just wanting to improve as musician. That’s how I want to write, make some sort of progression each album I write/produce. 

I’ve been really happy with this song I made recently and I’m wondering where it’s going to take me.
